Our journey, so far

Krafted Brew Lab, or simply KBL, was concepted over 10 years ago after Jason and his wife moved to Europe. Not only did living in southern Germany expose them to one of the best beer cultures in the world (yes we went to Octoberfest!) but it also exposed them to the social influence of sitting and having a hand crafted espresso or coffee. At any time of day and all throughout Europe.

It was at this time that Jason started his studio practice, making art and showing in galleries. This daily ritual (which continues today) of cultivating ideas in a free and open space became the inspiration for KBL! He dreamed of opening his studio during the day where other artists and creatives could “pop-in” for a hand crafted espresso, chat about art and co-mingle.

They approached their travels as a way to absorb and learn as much as possible about the location they were visiting. The people and cultures they visited had a lasting impression for Jason and Kim.

Fast forward - so they moved back to the ‘states’, live in an old farmhouse and opened a coffee roaster and mercantile in the heart of Bantam, CT!
